Meet Kassie, BSN, RN, CLC
My journey started during nursing school. After completing my labor and delivery rotation and seeing how "medical" birth has become, I set out to find a more holistic approach to the birthing experience.
I provide mothers with the emotional and physical support they need in order to have a positive birthing experience. Birth is not a one-size-fits-all. My role as a doula is to advocate for the birth that fits my client. My goal is to empower women so they can have a safe and fulfilling birth experience.

"Just as a women's heart knows how and when to pump, her lungs to inhale, and her hand to pull back from fire, so she knows when and how to give birth."
-Virginia Di Orio
Certifiations
Certifying Doula
I completed my Birth Doula Training Workshop through a DONA certified trainer in June 2021. Since that time, I have been working as a doula through Denver Health's Doula Program. I have experience working with laboring women from all backgrounds and cultures because of Denver Health's diverse population. I can offer support through education, positioning, grounding techniques, massage, and much more.
Certified Lactation Counselor
I completed the required education hours through Colorado University to sit for the CLC exam through The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. I have hands on experience helping new mothers navigate the challenges of breastfeeding as part of my role as a doula at Denver Health. I can offer support during the golden hour and beyond through feeding assessment, education, and positioning.
Registered Nurse
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Colorado University. I currently work in the Emergency Department at a local community hospital, but have experience in several different fields of nursing. I incorporate the knowledge and compassion from my nursing practice into my doula practice without creating a medical experience for my clients.
